What We Provide

Currently Serving cities from Tacoma to Seattle

Companion Care

Hand-in-hand with socializing, building and maintaining quality relationships gives purpose & meaning to the lives of our loved ones. Not only will we seek to build friendships directly with our clients (e.g., between client and caregiver), but we will also encourage and assist them in maintaining friendships with others.

Much of what our elderly and disabled population need most is companionship, and sadly enough this is not always available for them in abundance. Through uplifting & engaging conversations, our loved ones feel needed, listened to, and like they’re an important part of the larger world. Taking the time to slow down and converse, is one of the primary ways we can show honor, respect and love to those who need it most.

Playing games is as simple as it sounds. And simply put, it stimulates the brain, can increase coordination, and adds “fun” to our loved ones’ lives. Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the biggest difference!

Studies have shown that quality of life increases dramatically as human beings connect & interact with other people. We work to facilitate healthy and positive interactions, both through in-person connection as well as with the use of technology.

Home Care

Shopping lists, getting to/from the grocery store, and appropriate food stocking at home, are all ways we are ready to help meet client needs. We believe in serving each client as a unique person with individual worth, and will happily customize this service as needed.

We truly believe that individuals are happiest at home, living life as independently as possible. For optimum health, however, home should be as peaceful, sanitary, and hazard-free as possible. Housework is an important part of this, but can often become difficult with age. Our caregivers are able to fill in where needed (doing dishes, taking out trash, cleaning the bathroom, making the bed, doing laundry, etc), while still providing as much independence to our clients as possible.

Many individuals experience nutrient deficiencies and unintended weight loss late in life. This is often due to limited grocery store access, and lack of desire or energy to cook wholesome meals. Our caregivers can help with this! All of our caregivers have their Food Handler’s Permit and are qualified to prep, cook, and serve appropriate meals to those they care for.

Personal Care

Cleanliness is a vital part of physical and emotional health, but performing this important task can sometimes become difficult with age or when other physical limitations present themselves. Our caring team is trained to sensitively work with our clients in determining bathing preferences and maintaining as much privacy as possible.

Clothing choice and the ability to dress oneself is very personal, and an important part of daily life. Our caregivers understand this, and work hard to provide autonomy and dignity while seeing to the dressing needs of those they care for.

Sometimes a person is unable to feed his or herself. When this is the case, our caregivers will assist, taking into account various factors that may require extra care (e.g., swallowing difficulties from stroke).

Getting around the house is sometimes also referred to as Ambulation, and can be a vital part of maintaining safety and satisfaction in the home. Our goal will always be for our client’s to live as independently as possible! When they do need assistance though to move around safely, we will be there to help.

As balance and foot stability becomes one of the primary challenges as we age, keeping the feet healthy and cared for is more important than we might think. While we are a non-medical agency and cannot provide foot care to individuals with a medical condition affecting the feet (e.g., diabetes), we can in general cases help keep the feet happy and hydrated by helping to soak, apply lotion, trim nails, etc.

There’s no denying, we feel best when we are clean and cared for. Things like brushing our teeth, washing our face, and having our hair combed and styled keeps us looking and feeling more confident, capable, and happy.

At times individuals have physical or cognitive limitations that prevent them from situating themselves in bed or even in a chair. This can reduce comfort and quality sleep, and can increase aches and pains. A little assistance with positioning can go a long way!

Using the bathroom can present a variety of challenges at different times in life. Having assistance when needed can help to ease worry, maintain cleanliness, and prevent infection.

Sometimes all a person needs is a check-in now and then. We are happy to help with this! Just let us know how often you’d like us to visit and if there are any other services you would like us to perform while in the home.

We all have a variety of tasks to see to, but aren’t always able to perform these tasks on our own. One of these being running errands! Our caregivers can run errands under our client’s direction, or can make it an outing and see to the errands along-side the client.

Many of our clients need help in paying their bills, balancing a checkbook and managing household expenses.  We can help with this as needed.

“Pet therapy” is a well documented source of driving improved quality of life for individuals.  The longer people can keep their pets and have them taken care of, the better quality of life the person will have.  Our goal is to help as needed in the taking care of our client’s pets.  This typically includes basic needs – food & water, restocking of supplies and transportation to/from vets as needed, etc.

Getting physical activity makes a huge difference in how we feel, act, and even sleep. Going on a little walk or performing other small forms of activity are vital to living well! We are not physical therapists, but we can help encourage and facilitate regular physical activity.

There are primarily two types of protective supervision that we offer.  At times, unfortunately our clients can be unintentionally harmful to themselves due to symptoms of dementia and/or other disabilities.  Our caregivers are trained to be there, as needed, to help protect and ensure client safety in performing many activities of daily living.  Another protective supervision is offered when clients go out of their home to appointments (e.g. surgery, eye clinics, etc.)–most of these professional service locations will ask & require that an accompanying adult attends with the client going into these services to ensure they are prepped correctly beforehand and safely shepherded back home when services outside of the home are completed.

Taking the right medications at the right times is often extremely important to physical and emotional health. Forgetting to take medications, or accidentally taking them incorrectly can be a very serious problem. By state law we are not allowed to administer medications directly (our client’s must be able to put the medication into his/her own mouth or apply or instill the medication themselves), but we can definitely assist by reminding, offering, coaching, handing and opening the container, and/or placing the medication into the hand of the client.

So many amazing family members are already filling the role of primary caregiver to those they love. At times, these individuals may need to run errands of their own, attend an event, go away for the weekend, or just have some quiet down time. That’s where respite care comes in! We want to fill in where needed, in order to make life better for all those involved.

Doctor’s appointments, salon appointments, shopping trips, worship service, etc. The list goes on! No one wants to feel trapped at home. If our client’s are no longer able to drive, we want to help them continue their regular life by assisting them in getting around to favorite and important places.
