Reminder of mask policy at Honor

You may have seen in the news that several states are planning to allow their existing mask mandates to expire in the coming weeks. We’re hopeful that this reflects decreasing COVID cases in the community, but while we continue to evaluate the risk among our client and Care Pro populations we want to remind you of Honor’s COVID related policies and best practices. Honor’s mask policy will remain intact and Care Pros will still be required to wear a new, disposable mask for each visit, regardless of vaccination status or changes to state mask mandates. At this time, Honor will continue to provide KN95 masks for each visit, but if you prefer to wear a surgical mask and your client is asymptomatic, you may purchase your own supply and submit a receipt for reimbursement up to $35 dollars. As a reminder, if your client is asymptomatic, please notify Honor immediately.

Masks continue to protect the wearer and others nearby from infection and decrease the likelihood of testing positive for the virus and other infection illnesses, according to this CDC study. We also want to remind you that vaccination (including boosters) is still recommended as the best form of risk mitigation. We strongly encourage everyone to speak with their healthcare providers and to get the vaccine and booster, if you’re able.

Best Practices

  • Contact Honor immediately if there are no masks available in the home or if Clients are running low.
  • Regularly wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your face, and disinfect surfaces.
  • Wipe down commonly touched surfaces.
  • Limit high risk gatherings indoors and socialize outdoors when possible.
Thank you for being a part of the Honor Team and reach out with any questions!
